She felt embarrassed about the entire thing. She had cried. Just sat down and cried in the middle of a crowded bar over a man. Only silly little American girls did that when they discovered their playboy boyfriends being, of all things, a playboy. She should know; she had been the play thing on more than one occasion.

Things would be fine. They always were.

But, she did not understand. Things had been fine. She had been happy. Then, he had walked out then walked out without a word and why had he walked out, what had happened in one day that had made him walk out and why was Ophelia quiet still, she did not know what to do--

Things would be fine. They would. It just took some work. It did sometimes, but things would be fine.

Fleur took a long drag from her cigarette and looked out over the forest surrounding the bar. She was perched on the edge, bare feet dangling in the air.

It still felt odd being around all this nature, even if it was all magical and not exactly a true forest. At least Ophelia understood why she could never sleep out in the open air. It was too quiet, and she needed a mattress or her back would ache horribly--

She really was not meant to think. Even when she tried to write morse poetry about her pain like her father had taught her, she was distracted by some other flighty thought.

Maybe a fly would help make it all better. She never flew much about Paris. It was more fun to walk the street and see what sort of street artist or starving poet she would bring home to--

Sighing, Fleur took another long drag of her cigarette.


[Never again will she have angst. I fail with the writing of it. Let us pretend this is emotional.]
